Private Treatment Abroad and Home

Private Healthcare Abroad

Please consider that if you decide to go for medical treatment abroad (excluding emergency care in country) you will be required to access private medical service when you return to the UK if the private providers instruction does not agree with the NHS UK or local guidance that we as NHS GPs must follow.

Private Healthcare in the UK

Please do not assume that we are able to provide continuation of care following a private healthcare diagnosis. If you access a private provider for a diagnosis please be aware that our GPs will not necessarily be able to provide follow up care. We would normal expect any medication to be monitored and annual reviews to be done by your private provider.  We are able to provide appropriate general practice care that follow NHS local and national guidance if reviews are necessary for private work.
